Tawas Lake:

Tawas Lake is a large shallow lake with a mostly undeveloped wilderness shoreline. It has great fishing for bluegills, pike, and bass.  The lake has extensive wild rice beds and is a prime bird watching or waterfowl hunting area.  There is a public boat ramp on the lake or bring your motor and use our boat.  Good fishing can also be had within an easy row from shore.

 

Other activities in the Tawas area:

The Tawas area is a popular vacation destination with attractions including:

* Lots of shopping and summer art festivals. 

* Great swimming at the East Tawas City Park and Tawas Point State Park.

* A huge dock is at the City Park with pier fishing and large boat docking.

*The Huron National Forest is nearby with good deer hunting, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and fishing.

* Tawas Point State Park bird sanctuary is one of the best birding sites in the state.

* Great fishing for salmon, walleye, perch and other fish in Tawas Bay and the Tawas River.
